terms of use
the ground rules for using graft. short version: be honest, be kind, look after each other.
about graft
Graft connects people in Hartlepool with local organisations, courses and enterprise support. It is run by MATCH Tees Valley CIC. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
who can join
- You must be 18 or over.
- If you register an organisation, you must be allowed to act for it. MATCH verifies organisations and may refuse or remove any that are not genuine.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
be honest
- Only log hours you actually gave. Organisations: only sign off hours you know were given.
- Keep your profile, projects and courses accurate.
be safe and respectful
- No harassment, discrimination, spam or selling. Only use contact details you receive through Graft to arrange that opportunity or course.
- Organisations are responsible for their own volunteering arrangements, including any safeguarding checks (for example DBS), insurance, health and safety, and supervision. Graft introduces people; it does not employ volunteers or run the activities.
- Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use, including logos.
points and rewards
- Points are earned when an organisation signs off your hours (10 points per hour) and can be spent on rewards in Graft. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Rewards are offered by MATCH and local donors while stocks last. MATCH will contact you to arrange a reward after you redeem it.
- MATCH may remove points or rewards gained through false hours or misuse.
ending things
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. MATCH may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
the small print
We work hard to keep Graft running and accurate, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
